PRESSURE.....

Pressure.
An insight by author Joseph Henry Gaines.
***Warning-Strong-Language***

When you live on the other side of the fence , everything is magnified by the hundreds, you hear people say about pressure and I wonder if some people have actually looked up the meaning of the word. You hear stories like Nick Leeson was under pressure, please! Robbing millions and millions of pounds, yeah right pressure! That to me is like winning the lottery, I would be having the time of my life.
Then we see that the England football manager is under intense pressure, of course he is! It must be driving him mad wondering where and what to spend his six million pound wages on.
To us pressure is fighting for your fucking life!
Pressure is when you have to move out your family and go to war because someone is coming to do war with you.
Pressure is about making the right decision, a decision squeezed between going to prison for life or catching a bullet in the fucking eye.
Our life is glamorous but so it should be as there are not many who can survive it,  pressure is about trying to get out of something all your life when you know it is the one thing you are best at.
They say live by the sword and die by the sword, that is a great saying but to us it’s a fucking stark warning, almost a premonition, a reality we strive daily to avoid. Now that’s fucking pressure.

Krays Not Guilty, Book Two taster

Lenny McLean is enlisted by the Krays to join the Firm in

Krays Not Guilty Your Honour Book Two, the 70's.

"So how much you going to pay me a week?"
"That can be worked out, are you with us?"
"That is why I am here."
"We want you with us Len, but we want your loyalty."
"If I am with you, then you have just brought the Atom bomb."
"what about the other firms, all your work for them will have to stop."
"That suits me Reg, you pay me, and you got me, lock stock and barrel."
"You're going to be busy Lennie."
"Good, that's just what in want, you just tell me who's got to go..you wont have to tell me twice."
"Then lets have a drink and welcome to the Firm Len."

Lets get in the mood for Halloween!

IN HONOR OF HALLOWEEN WE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE THE PERFECT TIME TO DO A COVER REVEAL FOR A VAMPIRE NOVEL BY DEBORAH PALUMBO. It is book 3 in The Undeparted series, entitled THE BANISHED ONE.
The Banished One, a serial killer vampire also named Lucius, is still wreaking havoc on the sleepy town in Tower City, and since he's supernatural he can't be captured by normal police procedure
A frustrated Lieutenant Welby (a new character in the series) refuses to believe that the elusive Lucius, the one responsible for those dead bodies in his town, is a vampire; that defies logic. There's got to be another explanation for those fang marks in the victims' throats.
Welby remains a staunch disbeliever in vampires until the coroner, Doc McMahon, causes him to change his mind!
Doc shows Welby his ancestral journal from the 1700's regarding Quentin Castle, the father of all vampires.
Welby is whisked back in time as he reads those yellowed pages filled with encounters of beautiful women being lured to their mortal doom and transformed into vampires by the handsome and charming Quentin.
But what causes Welby to finally be convinced, is a series of preternatural events and the coroner's scientific evidence!
Welby then follows the old town rumors about vampires right to Quentin and his gothic castle to enlist Quentin's supernatural aid in capturing Lucius.
Will Quentin, the only one who can stop Lucius' vampire tirades, help the Lieutenant or make him one of The Undeparted?
Will Quentin battle Lucius and send Lucius to the bowels of hell for eternity, finally ensuring that Cassandra is safe from her old beau? Will the old coal mining town be safe at last?

Another Monday Morning in the glorious UK

So another week has passed us by in London and where are we from last week?
lets start with the Government, those fantastic people who we elected to constantly dream up new idea's to rob us!
I read in the paper yesterday that our chancellor is at it again, this time he is planning to cut Council tax benefit for millions of unemployed and disabled people. basically yet again he is going after the poor to pay more money of which they do not have.
his timing for this is also priceless! on the same day he is hoping to unveil this he will also be introducing a tax cut incentive where over 8000 millionaires will be around £40.000. better off.
Once again a fine example of their motto
'We are all in this together.'
George Osborne our chancellor
in his Oxford Bullingdon  Club days.
We used to smash everything up then give a cheque saying, “It’s OK, we can pay for it.” ’that saying is similar to what they are doing now- 'lets smash everything up and let the poor pay for it.'

David Cameron and Boris Johnson

Another week and once again the governments crusade against the unemployed continues.
This time they have introduced a new set of rules where people will have to jump through dozens of hoops or risk getting their benefits cut fro up to three years.
Minister for Employment Mark Hoban said: "Choosing a life on benefits when you're able to work is not an option. These rules send out a clear message to jobseekers. We will offer them the support they need to find work, but in return for receiving benefits they have responsibilities too. People cannot expect to keep their benefits if they do not hold up their end of the bargain."
There will be three levels of sanctions, ranging from four weeks for a minor offence to three years for serious repeat offenders.
"The new regime is tougher but fairer, and the rules will be clearly explained to all claimants from day one so that they are in no doubt that if they do not comply they will not get their benefit," said the Department for Work and Pensions.
Mark Serwotka, general secretary of the Public and Commercial Services union, which represents jobcentre workers, said: "Instead of punishing people for being out of work the Government should take responsibility for the pain and suffering it is causing with its failed austerity policies that we marched against at the weekend.
"With unemployment still high, there are eight people chasing every job vacancy, and many more trapped in part-time, low paid work. No one chooses a life on benefits, but some very wealthy individuals and organisations like Starbucks do choose not to pay their taxes, and they're the ones who should be demonised and pursued."

Why don't they just go the whole hog and make it a crime to be 'Unemployed' it is obvious that is what they want.

Some good news over the last week was that Chelsea Fc are still top of the premiership. we had a fantastic game on Saturday beating Spurs 4-2.
London weather is the same as usual- Rain and wind!
another stories hitting the headlines in the UK is the racism row again. this topic is a real hot potato and one where many people are terrified to comment on or get involved. this week we have had black footballers refuse to wear 'kick it out' anti racism t-shirts before their football matches on Saturday and Sunday.
So we have another week in glorious Britain in front of us again. let us see what the government get up to  in the next seven days. on a trivial note they should now ditch the official motto of 'We are all in this together' and replace it with. 'Whose life shall we ruin today!'

Monday Morning in the UK

TORY GOVERNMENT now picking on the OLD!
Over the next five years, pensioners with an income of between £10,000 and £24,000 will be paying an extra £3bn in tax while richer pensioners are left unaffected. So much for this governments electoral pledge 'we are all in this together' Now they are in power that does not seem the case at all, They are attacking the most vulnerable people in our society. Unemployed. Disabled. Elderly. Someone needs to do something and very quick before these jokers we have as a government completely wreck our country.
What was interesting was on the very same day they announced their cuts for pensions we had an announcement from British Gas that they would be raising gas and electricity prices by 6pc. (AGAIN!) They say it is due to the rising cost of wholesale prices which is what they always say, even though they recorded a £345 million profit in the last quarter.
Just heard on the news that Scottish Power are to hike their prices by 9pc. Wonderful. Now watch all the companies do the same. they are making record profits and squeezing the life out of their customers. This government just will not learn! What we need is confidence in the high streets, we need people to start feeling safe to spending money and small to medium sized businesses to feel able to expand, hire extra staff and improve their businesses. I am seriously thinking about trying to become an politician. My slogan will be; 'Standards are falling, Cost of living is rising, we need a change!'
It sickens me how the average man or women in the UK are completely voiceless, we get stamped on nearly every week and just have to take it. It seems the whole system has been allowed to get way out of control, tax and stealth tax and rising inflation is common practice now. when your cable TV or electric supplier raise their prices you try to complain, see how far it gets you. Or worse you probably will not even merit a reply from these companies.
The UK feels like it has gone back to the middle ages where they taxed the poor to lavish the rich! We need a Robin Hood! someone to take back what is rightfully ours.
That's an idea!
THE ROBIN HOOD UNDERGROUND MOVEMENT!
People Power, let us bring down these greedy over lords, the problem is where do we find the time and money to get this movement going?
We are all too skint or too busy running around like headless chickens just trying to find the money to pay our bills!

Monday Morning in the UK

The Yuppie Conservative boys are ate it again. The Poor are going to get hammered again today. on the news now we are being told that at today's Tory conference plans will be unveiled to cap benefits and housing. Personally I think it is disgusting that the national debt is being put onto the backs of those who are the most vulnerable. When will these idiots realise that there is no money about because of the rising prices that we are asked to pay everyday. I just heard George Osborne saying people who work are outraged at people on benefits! I am sorry but I am outraged at this governments lack of interest in the spiralling cost of everyday living. I am outraged that I have to put £100 a week into my car for fuel and the government get 75% of it in VAT and taxes, I am outraged that every time I park my car I have to pay the local councils a fortune to park. I am outraged at the £250 a month I have to pay in council tax. I am outraged at the never ending increases in fuel bills like gas and electric. And the cost of food rocketing. Something needs to happen in the UK fast, It has become a country where people feel they are being robbed everyday of the week. everyday someone is trying to get their hands in to your pocket. Leave the poor alone and stop blaming everyone else. And stop patronizing us! I am not outraged at the poor lady down the road on benefits whose husband has left her with four children to bring up. I feel sorrow for her and not outraged. lower our taxes and VAT and force the cost of living down. Stop persecuting the weakest people in society and start looking at the shops, supermarkets and energy companies who are reporting record profits month after month by ripping everyone off. If they throw some poor lady off of benefits then how will that help me? Will that put any extra cash in my pocket? No it will not, but cut the fuel duty and the rip off councils and force the food supermarkets to stop increasing their prices. that would be a good start and what a wonderful start to the week that would be to wake up and hear that a government is going to force companies to lower their prices. I do not like waking up on a Monday morning and the first thing I see on the news is the headline ' government to unveil welfare cuts' then have to listen to some posh Chancellorship say he is acting to cut welfare because the public are outraged. I am sorry I am not and I don't like what your doing and I especially do not like you doing it and shouldering the blame on to our backs. Leave the poor people alone, you are a bullying government. forcing people;e further in to poverty is not the solution to curing it.
